Opponents misrepresent Wyeth decision to push FDA defense repeal
LANSING, Mich., May 8, 2009 - Perennial opponents of Michigan's FDA defense law are misrepresenting the U.S. Supreme Court's Wyeth decision, a Detroit lawyer argues in a Washington Legal Foundation article.
"They are now attempting to use the Wyeth decision as a sword to advance their own "reform" proposal which would significantly harm pharmaceutical and state health care industries, as well as all Michigan citizens," writes Thomas J. Foley, a founder of the Detroit-area law firm of Foley, Baron & Metzger, PLLC.
