Poll: Voters strongly oppose expanding sales tax to services, support government reforms to fix budget

Michigan voters overwhelmingly oppose an effort to expand the state sales tax to services and instead want their political leaders to balance the state’s budget by cutting spending, according to a new poll released today by the Michigan Chamber of Commerce and the Michigan Association of REALTORS®.

Toolmakers' new tack: Firms' goal -- Advance wind-turbine technology

Two Michigan firms are working to launch a new wind-turbine component manufacturing venture that is a high priority for the state and could advance the industry's technology.

Senate GOP Health Plan Hikes Taxes

While Senate Republicans today fought back against the “Party of No” stereotype by unveiling a broad new health plan, it has a controversial component: It raises taxes.
