A Michigan manufacturer with roots in the automotive industry, in 2008 Dowding Industries opened a new, $9 million plant in its hometown to machine parts used in the assembly of wind turbines.
The John Truscott Group has worked with Dowding to connect the company with public and private interests to help it grow its alternative energy business.
As the federal government has rolled out its economic stimulus program in 2009, JTG worked with Dowding officials to set up meetings with individual lawmakers and prepare company representatives to testify in front of congressional committees. Dowding also has been a leading advocate for government policies that support the alternative energy sector, appearing in multiple media reports about the issue.
